Happy Birthday Zander

He's telling us how old he is.

He's happy because he knows he can eat that too.
The bishop brought some duck he had shot earlier in the day. Enola would only touch it with one finger.
Jett was a little more daring. He used one whole hand. He also had to wash his hands real well, because he didn't want to come down with the "Duck Duck Quacker" disease. Not sure who gave him that idea :)
And that folks is your quick update.

Anniversary Pictures

So for our parents 13th wedding anniversary last month every kid was supposed to give the folks a family picture. (Thanks DJ and Chelsea for being the only ones still to have done so) Anyway the kids don't have family pictures so I took them to get them done. In this first one Jett wanted to give Enola a piggyback. He looks a little strained if you ask me.
She was making him laugh. There's a better one where she too is smiling but the samples are so small I couldn't tell which was which.
Sometimes they do love each other.
Mr. GQ himself. He has some really great shots. He got really into it and my friend (the photographer) loved taking his picture.
She was in love with her hair this day. Ain't she purty?
These are only a few of a ton of really cute pictures. You will just have to come and visit to view the rest. Because we know mom won't post them.

Our day trip

About a month ago the kids and I were sitting home bored. So we decided to go on a day trip. (Yes it took me a month to post because the pictures got lost in laptop space)
Anyhow we jumped on the train and headed North.
Where we hit up Temple square and took some fun pics by the Lion House. The Flowers were amazing. Twas just the kids and I (Aimee) mom wanted to stay home for some peace and quiet and to get some things done while the men of the house were still at work.

(Sorry didn't think to fix that before I uploaded it) Did realize what Enola was trying to do until after we reviewed the pictures. She wanted to be holding up the temple. Oh and the weather was perfect that day. Awesome day for a field trip if you ask me.
Making the double chin disappear in pictures took more than one try. Sent this to mom to mock her, trying to make her wish she had come.
Ahem...didn't edit this one either. The kids wanted to go on the tour but we decided the parents should take them for a family night. Hint Hint.
So I suck. Enola was so funny. Jett and I were ahead of her and we hear her yell, "Look, I'm a tree hugger."
Dancing in the fountains at the Gateway. They had a grand old time. Jett got pushed over a blow hole at the precise moment it went off. Perfect hit. Not as funny for him as it was for me and Enola.
Enola the aspiring photographer set up this shot. Jetts' still pretty wet eating ice cream with a cool breeze, he didn't really complain as he did shiver. I tried to tell him to give his ice cream to an older wiser sister who was kind enough to take them out, unfortunately he didn't buy it.
Keeping it real.
We ended the day with a walk on Mars. Well kind of. The Clark Planetarium. I was hoping to have them do the anti gravity moon walk but they didn't have it up and running that day. We then figured we should head home and eat dinner. We jumped on the train and after getting lost for an hour big sis realized we had jumped on the wrong line and we ran across town, ten or twelve blocks to the right line and didn't get home until about nine. It was an adventure and the kids were great. So we cured our boredness by riding the train to Salt Lake and hitting up Temple Square, The Gateway and The Clark Planetarium and the best part...it was all FREE. Do I know how to party or what. Ok Ok, not all of it was free, we had to pay for the ice cream and train but still not bad if you ask me.

Girls Camp!!!

Cool!!! Right?
It's real!!!

Girls Camp was so fun although at night I got a little homesick. We did this challenge course and the first thing we did was the . . . ZIP LINE!!!!! First thing we had to do to get to the zip line was we had to walk across this (about) 7 inches wide and about 18 feet up and 15 or 10 feet long. And we were in a harness and we climbed up and at first they were pegs and they were really close together and then they turned into circles and they were further apart. When we got to the top we had to turn around. Jaydee (a girl in my young women) got stuck turning around and she almost fell off. I was the second girl to go and I was new!!! But, I got stuck waiting for the line to come back and I was standing on the edge. One because the ladies at the other end were trying to figure how to use the ladder to get Tia (the first girl) down. Second if you know Tia she is short and that's the reason they couldn't get her down, they couldn't reach her legs. I and Tia's weight was enough to pull the rope down that much. So the ladies could barley reach us. And sorry no pictures of the zip line and me.

Avalon's Blessing

Things we got to do while the family was in Tucson for Avalon's BlessingFrost cookies. Jett being his GQ self. Air & Space Museum
Now you all must check out Dad's skills

While the Parents are Gone

I believe it has been raining here in Utah for at least six days strait days with no end currently in sight. We very much appreciate the rain, well I do and then you get some cool pay offs like awesome thunder and lightning and then bright rainbows. So I got Pops concert tickets for Fathers Day. What concert? 311 but that's not who they really went to see, opening for them is Ziggy Marley. That's who they will be getting their Rastafari on with. Yes I am very jealous. I said since I bought the tickets he should have taken me. But alas I got them for him and figured he would want to take his lovely wife so I offered to babysit.
And while they were gone.

The kids will do science projects.

I did supervise. Basically if they burned themselves I would have intervened. They were safe and even cleaned up after themselves.

(Sorry about the poor quality but you get the idea)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ENOLA!!!

She's now officially the big 12!  Oh they grow up so fast.
When Enola saw this picture she laughed and said she looked like "A one-legged prostitute."  I asked her if she knew what a prostitute was, she giggled and said "No"  Mom educated her
She's sporting new jewelry from the neighbor friends and clothes from Chelsea and D.J
It took her a few tries to get all the candles out.  She also got some $$$ which she is saving to buy a laptop, perfume, and received a few cd's.  Her favorite being Michael Jacksons #1 hits (from Jett)
Cousins don't be saddened if you were not invited.  Just the siblings came over.  The cousins that truly loved her came over and said "Happy Birthday" anyhow :)
Oh, here Taylor and Jett are having a deep meaningful conversation.
Here is Zander.  Already 25 pounds.  Yes, he is a big boy!
Jett has to prove his manhood anytime a brother comes around.  He fought Taylor all night, had a few battles with Kody and one with D.J. earlier in the day.
Whitney and Kameron made it over before their big move to Logan in a couple of weeks.
Everyone enjoying some cake and ice cream.
We don't need an excuse to have treats but we all LOVE Enola and are glad she's here.  We'll celebrate her we think at least once a year.
