Mwah ha ha

Jack Skellington himself
It was like the good old days when mom would slave away over a costume.

The Nurse who couldn't take it anymore.
You can't tell but her wrists are slit as well as the head wound and gunshot to the right temple to go along with the bloody tears and slit throat.

Until next year.....

Soccer Star

I have been patiently waiting for mom to do a post....
I only have so much of this so called patience.
Jett started soccer and had his last game this past Sat. Pops has taken a ton of pictures, I tried to use those for a post but I spent a lot of time trying to find any pictures among the other 4,000 photos but they are all out of order. Once I did find them I couldn't post them in "Tiff" form and being computer illiterate had no chance of figuring out how to put them in "jpeg" form. Anyhow so I went last week to take some pictures with my camera got one and the battery died. I went again yesterday and got some more. I think Jett had the largest fan base. The parentals, Chris and I as well as DJ and Chelsea were there to cheer him on. They don't really keep score because they don't want anyone to fell bad. Blah blah so what. If you suck you loose practice at it and don't wine about it when you don't win. It could also be that they are still pretty young and are really just learning the rules of the game and what not so in that case I guess I'm fine with them not keeping score.
I digress.
Jett is a good little soccer player, the 3 games I've seen he's always been pretty aggressive after the ball, I've seen him do a couple of good head butts and steal the ball from other players as well as throwing a shoulder here and there.
Enough of my rambling. Enjoy the pictures.

He's a stud. (even with his chicken legs)

So I may have slacked a bit

This summer was crazy busy and it seemed as though no one was home for the majority of it and therefore I did not do a family post.
Sorry
But here are some new pics.

Mom and the kids were out of town for Pops birthday. I worked all morning and Pops had to go into work that night. So he only got a cupcake.

He was so excited about the awesome twisty candle.

Jett and his two best buddies Alex (the medic) and Ian, on their last day together because they moved to Ephraim.

He has nightmares about "Nam" now.

Any chance Jett has to take his shirt off and show off his abs.
Enola has to make a meal a day for two weeks at least for a Personal Progress goal. She has made some pretty tastey meals. This was Chicken with potatoes, pea, and coconut-curry sauce and last night was a delicious rosemary chicken with sweet-and-sour orange dipping sauce.

So yesterday was the last day of summer for Jett and the last day Chris and I were watching them so we went on a tour of a candy factory. It was fun enough but I wish they would have been making more things but the free samples were a bonus and we walked out with a lot of fresh off the line goodies.

Tastey

I was a nice sister and bought Jett a treat.
Just a bit sour is all.

Sorry there isn't more. Mom keeps saying she is going to post such and such.
I think I need to teach her and then maybe she will

It didn't end on April 1st

I came home a few days later after closing crawled into bed and felt something in the bed. My first thought was, "What did Chris eat/leave in the bed now?"
But I made the bed before leaving for work and I don't remember anything so I threw the covers back and....
Then I went to get something out of my drawers....
I would also find the small ones stuck inside my shirts throughout the next couple of days.

I am a very patient woman. I held on to all those beautiful post it notes and shredded them up. Carefully bagged them and hiked up to their room.
I just want to tell you...It was magical!

Up next week,
Jett and the pinewood derby.

Post Its

More than just for handy little notes.
I had to get up early on my day off to accomplish this.
Poor mom got all the "fools". I was hoping the rubber-band around the sprayer on the sink would have gotten Jett just because he would have been the perfect height.
Mom and I put wax paper in the kids peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Which Enola informed us as soon as she got home that it pulled all the jelly out. And she ended up with just a pudding and drink for lunch.
The parentals got me back with my own stunt though while I was watching a documentary. Of course they had to steal my cleverness and team up.
So after I was done gathering the post its off of my car, I gave them back.
I was planning on putting Easter Egg dye in the shower head because we all know Pops would have been in the shower first. Unfortunately the shower head has been fused on with hard water. I even had the blue ones crushed up and ready to go.
There are a few more surprises awaiting them later today....
Hope your day was filled with laughter too!

PI Day

I like this new holiday Enola has decided to celebrate. I had no idea what she was talking about. But every March 14 is now pi day. You know...the numerical value of the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter 3.14159 blah blah blah. Well today is 3/14 so therefore we are having PIE. Yum!
Enola is wired up for the next twenty four hours or so because her being rail thin, you can actually see her heart beat in her chest so the Dr. is running a few tests to make sure everything is going the way it should.
Bob (Dons brother) sent mom this picture in the mail today. I have to say, I love it a lot! It just makes me happy. Obviously this was taken like somewhere around 40 years ago (tee hee hee)

In other news with no pictures to go along with it.

Avalon is home! Hooray. (Jenni is trying to relax and breathe for a bit so if she doesn't get a post up in the next 24-96 hours or so give her a break and relax. Or you will have to deal with me. And as Jenni so eloquently puts it, "You're (as in me Aimee) not afraid to speak your mind and be mean, and just not care what others think" She's right you know.)

Unfortunately Tiff is back in the hospital with Phenomena in both of her lungs.

As for our lovely mother. Give her a verbal high five and tell her how awesome she is because she has lost 20lbs! She can even put on and take her wedding ring off easily now. (Hasn't done that for five years) Hazah for mom!

Quickly through pictures

On Wed they let Avalon go home
Thurs she thought her trick of having strawberry milk come out her neck was cool. Mom & Dad not so much. Back to the hospital they went. Here she is Friday on "versed" and would get "funny mad"
Sat she was "feeling pretty good"
Good sport through it all. He's saying "cheese" while crying. Love it
Looks like they will be back home on Fri 3/11
The resident Bad A**
Enola got contacts and has done awesome. (we won't discuss the five minutes she was poking her eye looking for her contact because her vision was blurry and she must have put it in inside out or...oh yeah never put it in to begin with)
The new gas convection stove pops bought mom while she was in Arizona.
"Better to ask for forgiveness than permission" Pops always says.
The new vehicle mom got before her road trip to Arizona. It's a pretty sweet ride.
Time!

Catch Up.

Jenni says Avalon is grounded for life!
Sweet little Avalon had her surgery on Mon to remove the webbing. It took three hours and they said she would need to be on a feeding tube for at least a week. Which she tried to pull out once she woke up.
The next day she thought she had a good enough time in surgery she would go back in for another. She decided to mix things up a bit and collapse a lung for this one. So they put in a chest tube.
Day three she accomplished what she set out to do on Monday and she pulled out her feeding tube. (She's a quick one) Back to surgery she goes so they can put in a direct line to her main artery (I can't remember what it is called. Not a PICC line but.....)
You will get more in depth details when Jenni is not grounded at the hospital and doesn't have so much going on. But I will try my best.
Our wonderful mother who celebrated her birthday last week left the following day to go spend some time with Aaron while the rest of his family hangs out at the hospital.
Which leaves me with the kids and their homework. It has been too long since I did that stuff because I took one look and said, "WTH?" (figure it out)
I made them chore jars. Jett looses a quarter for every time he lies to me. Seems to be working, so far. Or at least he's getting better at lying.

And finally...our dancing queen.

What we see

Enola enjoying doing her homework. (No she is not crying about it. This time)
We catch Jett a lot with his shirt off flexing his muscles for himself in the mirror. Today I founding him lifting in front of the mirror so he could watch his muscles "in action"

Neither of them were aware I took a picture because the phone was is silent mode. This is true life baby!

Smarty Pants

Ladies & Gentlemen meet the Lincoln Academy Student of the Term
(Well one of them at least)
It's a very prestigious title. You must have good grades, attendance, and be recommended by a teacher. We are not sure why she got it either...joke. Apparently she made a funny face when the Principal announced her name because he started laughing at her shocked expression, as well as some other students close by her. The family (the choice ones) knew ahead of time, unfortunately Pops and I had to work and moms car had broken down the day or two before hand. The parents took her out for ice cream that night and I took her out for ice cream the following Sat (I tried to convince her to go out for pie but it was her choice)
Give her a woot woot next time you talk to her. She deserves it.

While the parents were gone

I decided to paint their bathroom.
I figured that if they didn't like it they couldn't stop me and they would just have to deal with it or take the time to repaint themselves.
The color is, "Celery Mist" (it's a light green if you can't tell)
I also bought them a new shower curtain.
(never mind the curtain hooks. haven't replaced those yet)
So come for a visit, you will no longer be blinded by bright lime green paint and an old gross shower curtain!

My kind of punishment

So last week I'm at work and I get a call from Chris telling me that he just got off the phone with Sego Lily, Jetts school. They could not get a hold of his parents or me. (Apparently they don't have my work number) For the second time that his school needs to call his parents they decide to go to a movie and not answer so I get to go and get him. I digress, anyway I call his school back to see what is wrong. Jett got all muddy and needed someone to bring him another pair of shoes, socks and pants. So I left work. (Pretty defined big (not little) arms if you ask me.)
I decided to just stop at the school on my way home and check him out. When we got home I decided that he is to clean until he should be home from school, and my personal favorite....he owes me one push up for every min of work I had to miss as well as every min of school he missed. (Because it was an accident that he didn't see the giant mud puddle while running for a pass playing football. Which is what he told me with his signature ---- eating grin.)

That means 135 push-ups. He started in sets of 20 (but the first 17 didn't count because not only did he do them wrong he stopped :D ) he pumped them out pretty quick. As the day wore on he slowed down. Understandably so. I know I couldn't do what he did.

He had three left to do.

Chris and I had a friend that was able to do a one armed pull-up. The kids thought that sounded easy.

Holiday...Celebrate

I apologize for not doing a family Christmas post sooner. My camera died after about 8 pictures and all the rest were on mom and dads camera and we all know they won't post anything so I will do with what I've got.
We were all excited to see that Jett got a BB (baby bullets) gun from Santa.
Enola got her Snugie she has been asking for. (No really she had been)
This year mom decided to have a New Years Tree. We took all of the Christmas ornaments down and Enola decorated the tree with ribbon and a purple star burst tree topper. Then she went above and beyond and decorated the entire living room. It looked really cute to be quite honest I wish I would have gotten more pictures of it. After the celebration we put all of the streamers, party popper paper, hats, tiara, and glow sticks on the tree to finish it off. It really was most enjoyable and I dare say it looked better than the "Christmas Tree"
We were a lively bunch. I handed out glow sticks to everyone who enjoyed playing with them while they watched their classic old school "Looney Toons" (not sure where the kids were when this photo was taken but they, and Chris, were the only ones not to fall asleep before midnight)
The Fam in front of the "NEW years" tree.
(Too bad you can't see more of the tree but I feel that I captured the family really well)
