Our day trip

About a month ago the kids and I were sitting home bored. So we decided to go on a day trip. (Yes it took me a month to post because the pictures got lost in laptop space)
Anyhow we jumped on the train and headed North.
Where we hit up Temple square and took some fun pics by the Lion House. The Flowers were amazing. Twas just the kids and I (Aimee) mom wanted to stay home for some peace and quiet and to get some things done while the men of the house were still at work.

(Sorry didn't think to fix that before I uploaded it) Did realize what Enola was trying to do until after we reviewed the pictures. She wanted to be holding up the temple. Oh and the weather was perfect that day. Awesome day for a field trip if you ask me.
Making the double chin disappear in pictures took more than one try. Sent this to mom to mock her, trying to make her wish she had come.
Ahem...didn't edit this one either. The kids wanted to go on the tour but we decided the parents should take them for a family night. Hint Hint.
So I suck. Enola was so funny. Jett and I were ahead of her and we hear her yell, "Look, I'm a tree hugger."
Dancing in the fountains at the Gateway. They had a grand old time. Jett got pushed over a blow hole at the precise moment it went off. Perfect hit. Not as funny for him as it was for me and Enola.
Enola the aspiring photographer set up this shot. Jetts' still pretty wet eating ice cream with a cool breeze, he didn't really complain as he did shiver. I tried to tell him to give his ice cream to an older wiser sister who was kind enough to take them out, unfortunately he didn't buy it.
Keeping it real.
We ended the day with a walk on Mars. Well kind of. The Clark Planetarium. I was hoping to have them do the anti gravity moon walk but they didn't have it up and running that day. We then figured we should head home and eat dinner. We jumped on the train and after getting lost for an hour big sis realized we had jumped on the wrong line and we ran across town, ten or twelve blocks to the right line and didn't get home until about nine. It was an adventure and the kids were great. So we cured our boredness by riding the train to Salt Lake and hitting up Temple Square, The Gateway and The Clark Planetarium and the best part...it was all FREE. Do I know how to party or what. Ok Ok, not all of it was free, we had to pay for the ice cream and train but still not bad if you ask me.

You're a great big sister. I wish we were there Aaron would have loved it, maybe in the next few months.

Enola you are the cutest "tree hugger" I've ever seen.

Aimee, what wonderful memories and bonding you're doing with you younger siblings. And what a fun big sister you are (I'm sure Jenni would be just as fun if she was around :0) Anyhow, love the pix and thanks for keeping us posted as to the youngest kids happenings (especially the ones you create for them!).

Thanks for blogging, Aimee. Wish I had gone along (as always). Next time I come I want you to take me on the train to SLC.
